[edit] SLC photos
I don't suppose you have any photos of Temple Square or the Salt Lake Temple you could contribute, particularly any with the Christmas lights? Actually, any photos of buildings from downtown SLC would be welcome. --Lethargy 23:40, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not sure - I'll have to look. The last time we took some non-family-snapshots of Temple Square may be pre-digital, so I'd have to scan a 4x6. I'll let you know if I find anything. — Zaui (talk) 15:08, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- My family (myself not included) is of the opinion that a picture is worthless if someone you know is not in it, so the chance of me finding one is slim. I really need to get a digital camera and take some photos downtown. --Lethargy 01:38, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Delta Center
I miss moved it. Its EnergySolutions Arena, and I moved it to Energy Solutions Arena. Pharos04 did a copy-n-paste move to the proper name and just put in a redirect... Admrb♉ltz (t • c • log) 18:48, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] New Photo Matching Service
Hi there,
I'm contacting you because you listed yourself at Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Photographers. You might be interested in a new wikiproject page that lists photographers and articles that need photos by location. The page is located at Wikipedia:Photo Matching Service or WP:PMS GabrielF 00:11, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hey Zaui
Nice page you've got here. And the pictures in your gallery are excellent!
Jcbutler 16:31, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. Some of the photos are from the trip we did the last time we dropped by your place - Mt Rushmore, Badlands, Walnut Grove and Fort flooding. I stole the page design from one of the proposals for the main page redesign from last spring. It may be time for a change. — Zaui (talk) 16:14, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've been working on the Utah portal and would like an outside opinion. Give it a look-over and a critique when you have time. Thanks, — Zaui (talk) 21:35, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

- I think it looks great. The only thing I noticed was that there are a lot of "red" entries under things to do. I imagine you guys are working to fill those in though. Utah is definitely more photogenic than social psychology... Say, when you get some time, please read my work on social psychology (psychology). I'm trying to make it accurate, relatively comprehensive, and above all, accessible to people who have no knowledge of the field. Jcbutler 04:59, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Portal
If you want to add suggest links without much trouble in the Random portal component string after the words Random portal component add the words; ( with nominate ) it will change the template to one that auto creates suggestion links, you'll just have to add it for each section you want to have suggestions.. -WilsBadKarma (Talk/Contribs) 06:09, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tip. I've added it, but the 'Suggest' links show up as red links - so I need to create the subpages manually? — Zaui (talk) 06:23, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah you have to open and save the page it only creates the link to the page. Some people get elaborate when creating it but some just tell visitors to add there suggestions. --WilsBadKarma (Talk/Contribs) 08:10, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Welcome back
I was originally taking a vacation for a few weeks, but after I returned I got a new job which has kept me busy (and tired). Hopefully I can start contributing more often, but it won't be in the large amounts I managed when I was unemployed. Thanks for the welcome BTW. --Lethargy 00:41, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: low-res fair-use Packer logos
No. That image is orphaned. It will be deleted on Feb 10 or later unless it is used. It would be a waste of my time to reduce the size. If the image is used, I'd be happy to reduce the image then. Thank you. --MECU≈talk 16:43, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Okay then. I'll do it later today, in about 6-7 hours from now. --MECU≈talk 17:03, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- All done, please insert into article. Thanks again. --MECU≈talk 22:28, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- It seems that we have a problem with a user who is having trouble understanding FUC rule #3. I warned him previously [1], but he currently still does not seem to "get it" based on the recent upload log [2]. I also noticed that he has a few sock puppets, compare this, this, and this. If he does not change his ways, more drastic measure will have to be taken. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 01:18, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Signpost comments
Thanks for your feedback. I didn't realize Miller also owned the arena, since I hadn't looked into whether it was built with public or private financing. I've now incorporated that tidbit into the story. --Michael Snow 20:44, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Former Fort Residents
Agree completely on alphabetizing famous Fort residents in the Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin article. Could easily develop into a shoving match trying to decide whose name belongs at the top of the list. I, too, am a former Fort resident (FAHS class of '58) living in suburban Denver. Have only been involved with Wikipedia for a few months but enjoy it very much. What is your opinion of Scott Catron's picture in the Fort article? Somehow, to me, it seems that the only picture in the article should be of something other than a flooded Main St. bridge. Dick107 04:22, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Subsequent look at your photo gallery leaves me with a red face. Oops. Dick107 05:38, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Heh - No problem. Flooding is pretty uncommon, but it does happen, so I don't think it reflects badly on the town. I should find some other photos I have of Fort and upload them. (FAHS class of '85, BTW - we probably didn't have any common teachers.) — Zaui (talk) 06:14, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
-
- Glad to hear 'no problem'. Are you aware/interested in being on the email list for the weekly newsletter sent out to FAHS grads? Currently, I believe, it has about 1,200 recipients. Everyone contributes musings as the mood strikes them. If so, send me an email (link on my user page). I can also send you last week's edition if you wish.
- Have to 'fess up, got curious and went to switchboard.com to confirm. Lived in Racine for about 6 mos ('70-'71).
- Have you run across any other FA Wikipedians? Dick107 08:36, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'll send you an email to sign up for the newletter - I sent you one last night about your personal website. Went to switchboard.com to confirm what? I lived in Racine also - worked a summer at Johnson Wax. The only other FA Wikipedian I'm aware of is FAHS class of '85 also - Jcbutler. — Zaui (talk) 15:41, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image's usage permission
Can I use Image:MtRushmore Abe close.JPG for my template? Causesobad → (Talk) 09:06, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, maybe I have to use your image before getting the permission because you haven't response immediately while I have to create my template right now (today). Hope that you'll forgive me. Causesobad → (Talk) 13:11, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, you can use the picture. — Zaui (talk) 15:50, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
