Zebrarider (Fairy chess piece)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Historical notes
The zebrarider is a `riding' variant of the Zebra, a fairly well known fairy chess piece. The zebrarider is used only occasionally in fairy chess problems. For a for chess variants on very big boards it would be less suitable.
[edit] Movement
The zebrarider is a (2,3)-rider, i.e., it can make a series of jumps in the same direction, always going either two horizontally and three vertically, or two vertically and three horizontally. In other words: it can make a zebra move; when the square it visits is empty, it can continue with addtional zebra moves in exactly the same direction.
