El AWP es un rifle de francotirador. La descomunal potencia de este rifle capaz de atravesar una pared lo hace inigualable como arma de francotirador. Las siglas AWP, prácticamente quieren decir Artic Warfare Magnum, aunque en vez de M salga P.
