- Blasonnement : burelé d’argent et d’azur, à trois chevrons de gueules brochant sur le tout, le premier écimé
Ces armes à une brisure près, sont proches de celles des Lusignan (burelé d'argent et d'azur). C'est pourquoi certains auteurs ont prétendus, à tord, que la Maison de La Rochefoucauld avait une communauté d'origine avec celle de Lusignan. Le premier chevron devint écimé après La Fronde.
