Probabilité de faire plus qu'un seuil avec un « jet sans limite » sur 1d20 :
- une valeur entre 2 et 19 est gardée telle quelle ;
- si l'on tire un 20, on rejoue le dé et on ajoute le résultat ; si le résultat est à nouveau 20, on recommence…
- si l'on tire un 1, on retire un dé et on retranche le résultat ; si le deuxième jet est un 20, on retire un dé et on le retranche…
La pente est constante pour une tranche de dix-neuf valeurs ; elle marque un plateau toutes les vingt valeurs.

Probability to roll above a given threshold with an "open ended" d20 :
- if the value ranges between 2 and 19, it is kept;
- if the value is 20, the die is thrown again and the result is added; when the new result is also 20, play it again etc.
- if the value is 1, the die is thrown again and the result is subtracted; when the second result is 20, the die is thrown again and subtracted etc.
The slope is constant in a set of nineteen values; there is a plateau every twenty values.
