- Description: Two images of Mount Kilimanjaro produced by placing satellite over digital elevation models. Images are dated Febuary 17, 1993 (left) and Febuary 21, 2000 (right). Dramatic change in ice cover is apparent, but misleading. [3]

These side by side images are a comparison of different snowpack levels from one year to another and are not an example of glacial retreat on the mountain.
