Menger sponge, a fractal, here in its two-dimensional version, but it is also a Sierpisnki carpet¹ or a 2D-extended Cantor set, they are all similar in construction. The image was created from using a iterated function system, (IFS).
¹Not really fair, the Sierpinski method uses 1:2 as scale ratio, this uses 1:3 (the Cantor set uses 1:3).
