Spjall:Háfrónska

Úr Wikipediu, frjálsa alfræðiritinu

Dear Ævar,

Do you really want to display an article of a man who just wants to ridiculize my work. I'm a sincere man with a great love for Icelandic. OK I have insulted this man on the is.islenska newsgroup because he was constantly getting personal (geðklofi, osf.). Through this article he wants to ridiculize me in front of all Icelanders so that none of them will ever take the trouble to read my word-lists.

This article isn't neutral. Many students of Icelandic like my work. The statement 'a few good words in a sea of orðskrípi' is hugely exaggerated accoring to Bjarki Már Karlsson, málfræðingur

Do you want to see that Icelanders are kept back from discovering the excellent words because they have read this unobjective article, That's not fair!

Best Regards, Jef

It is not Wikipedia's purpose to promote this project (or anything else). --Bjarki 24. nóv. 2005 kl. 17:35 (UTC)
I personally like your Háfrónska project and am in favour of incorporating large parts of it into everyday icelandic. Perhaps a more positive article can be found online where such experts tell of their views on Háfrónska, a link to balance the other article. --Stalfur 24. nóv. 2005 kl. 21:39 (UTC)

[breyta] Breytingar á greininni

Ágæti/Ágæta 84.194.74.15,

Ég gerði ákveðnar breytingar á þessari grein í kvöld. Meðal annars breytti ég stærðinni á myndunum svo að þær yrðu ekki risavaxnar og tröllriðu ekki allri greininni. Þú breyttir stærðinni á myndunum til baka, þannig að þær eru jafnstórar og áður. Auk þess fjarlægðirðu hreingera-tilkynninguna, sem mér þótti viðeigandi að hafa vegna þess að málfarið í greininni og uppsetningin er ekki nógu góð.

Vinsamlegast færðu rök fyrir þessum aðgerðum þínum. Athugaðu líka að við höfum ákveðin viðmið sem við viljum fara eftir. Ég tel að breytingarnar sem ég gerði á greininni hafi verið í áttina að því að gera hana þannig að hún líkist öðrum greinum hér á Wikipedia.

--Gdh 12. janúar 2006 kl. 04:50 (UTC)

Dear Sir,

The size of these pictures were appropriate. I'm a designer and an estheticist. You made the pictures awfully small. They were hardly visible. For instance the first one. Many pictures on wikipedia are so big, 300px is hardly to be called exagerrated. And yes, I removed the tag, because I cleaned up the article. Please talk to Haukur Þorgeirsson if you have a problem.

No, they where not appropriate, at least not on my screen (which is at 800x600). They where huge, as I stated in the history.
The pictures have now been sized down to 300px, please leave it like that since the article seems to be viewable at most resolutions by now.
--Gdh 12. janúar 2006 kl. 14:37 (UTC)
I changed the image size from 450px to 300px (I find 300px to be a very agreeable upper limit, I both view Wikipedia on my 24" widescreen, 17" CRT and a PDA TFT screen). --Stalfur 12. janúar 2006 kl. 09:19 (UTC)
I think they should be smaller, so as not to crud up those few 800x600 displays that are still out there, and I noticed that when they were smaller the overall quality of the Fjallkona seemed to improve, despite that being highly unlikly, it's probably a trick of the eye. I also think that this article needs to be cleaned up to take a NPOV view of the Háfrónska language. At the moment it is somewhat tainted by the fact that it was mostly written by the most partisan person available, something that is not generally accepted in Wikipedia. Large portions of this article classify as original research, for example. However, I like most of the article, like I like most of the language, so I suggest it be cleaned up to a higher standard, the standard by which the Wikipedia community as a whole is willing to accept the article, not the standard by which the creator of this language is. It's not very far from it at the moment. --Smári McCarthy 12. janúar 2006 kl. 10:48 (UTC)
Gerið myndirnar bara að thumbnail og látið Wikimedia ákvarða stærðina sjálf, það þarf ekki að gera einhverjar sér breytingar á hverri grein upp á útlit og hönnun, það er firra. --Friðrik Bragi Dýrfjörð 12. janúar 2006 kl. 11:34 (UTC)
Ég veit nú ekki hvers vegna ég er nefndur til sögunnar hér :) Ég hef a.m.k. ekkert vit á því hvernig eigi að koma myndum fyrir í greinum. - Haukurth 14. janúar 2006 kl. 18:56 (UTC)

[breyta] Skalli

"Vegna þess að hann var hræddur um að ekkert af nýyrðum hans hlyti góðar viðtökur hjá almenningi ákvað hann að búa til táknrænt athvarf fyrir þau. Hegðun Braekmans í fréttahópi is.islenska vakti andúð hjá mörgum Íslendingum og sökum þess [..]".

Hvert er þetta athvarf? is.islenska? Vantar setningu þarna? --Gdh, frekar þreyttur.

Ok, lagaði skallann. Takk.
--Gdh 13. janúar 2006 kl. 14:13 (UTC)
Er þetta samt ekki óþörf athugasemd? --Stalfur 13. janúar 2006 kl. 16:38 (UTC)
Ég þekki ekki allar staðreyndirnar í kringum Háfrónsku, þess vegna spurði ég. Nema að ég sé að misskilja þig? :)

"Skalli" er tilvísun í ritgerð sem heitir "Einum kennt, öðrum bent" eftir Þórberg Þórðarson (ég held reyndar að upphaflega hafi það verið "skalli í frásögn", en ég nota þetta svona).

[breyta] Tökuorð

Hver er skilgreining háfrónskumanna á hugtakinu tökuorð? --Mói 13. janúar 2006 kl. 21:54 (UTC)

Every word that is mentioned in the Orðsifjabók as 'loan-word'. Timbur-Helgi

[breyta] Is this a relevant article

First of all, sorry, I don't speak your language, so i'll have to use english. However, someone from my country tries to spread this so-called High Icelandic. The article is published on different language wiki's around the same time by the same anonymous ip's or registered users, there has been use of en:Wiki:Sockpuppets, etc... The article is proposed for removal on the nl-wiki, fr-wiki and en-wiki. Please see en:Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/High_Icelandic for some arguments an d information (i think more icelandic people read english than they read french or dutch ;-) )... i hope all other wiki's can have some input from as many of you as possible, as you seem to be most qualified to give an opinion on the subject

regards

Actually, that Mig de Jong has nothing to do with this message. Maximiliaan is a sockpuppet user however, as detected on other wiki's Regards

I am not a sockpuppet. I can defend myself very well If you think that, check my IP adress with every argument. Maximilliaan.

You, Maximiliaan have exactly the same IP as someone who called himself Timbur-Helgi Hermannsson aka Jozef Braekmans on the English wiki [1], therefore, Maximiliaan is the same person as the inventor of the language. Please stop this manipulation, and I hope some people of the icelandic wikicommunicty can be found to give an insight (also on the en-wiki). Thanks --81.11.185.4 24. febrúar 2006 kl. 21:49 (UTC)
I'd say say it's relevant. Not as relevant as Seinni heimstyrjöldin, but more relevant than Hnetusmjör. See my comment on the VfD page on en: for my opinion and suggested course of action. --Smári McCarthy 26. febrúar 2006 kl. 19:14 (UTC)
Indeed I had nothing to do with the former message, but this message is mine indeed. I do question the encyclopedic value of this article. As I see it, it is a one-man language, and therefore a vanity page. The user Maximiliaan edited a lot of different wiki's in order to keep this article. Now he is referring to other wiki's in stating how encyclopedic it is according to other wiki's. this is not the case, since on the Dutch wiki we are deleting the article, and every other wiki is nominating this article for deletion as well, without my interference. If I may advice you: watch out for sockpuppets, which this user is using to help him verify this article. This is an method we shouldn;t accept at wikipedia. I don't know how well this "language" is known in your country, but as far as I'm concerned I'd delete this article. Kind regards, nl:Gebruiker:Migdejong
I'd too say that this articles is relevant, as Smári said before. We have an Icelandic radio-program that acctually questions about Háfrónska, and therefor verifies this language. I really don't care what other wiki's do, but I will fight for the existing of this icelandic article. --Jóna Þórunn 26. febrúar 2006 kl. 22:00 (UTC)
Hi,I'm fond of Iceland, even if I don't speak your langage, and i take this story at hearth. I'm on the french wikipedia, and we're asking ourself if we should delete this article. first we think it's not popular, that nobody knows about the "high Icelandic"... but what do you think? Is it popular by you? Does it REALLY deserve an article for the moment? Is this guy's job really serious and interresting? I would be glad if you answer me with strong arguments (like truth worthy exemples (as newsapers articles)) thank you Schiste talk 26. febrúar 2006 kl. 23:49 (UTC)
We have put up our arguments on the English VFD page. Since my french is very poor I'm unable to see if the french article is very biased or not. --Stalfur 27. febrúar 2006 kl. 00:09 (UTC)

[breyta] Blómaheiti

Í Fréttablaðinu í dag 30. mars 2006 er minnst á þýðinguna sem háfrónskumenn vilja nota yfir rós og henni andmælt. --Stalfur 31. mars 2006 kl. 00:06 (UTC)

Yes, I have changed that. KLYNGRA from KLUNGUR is the new word and it is also used as a replacement of the feminine personal name Rós in Icelandic. KLUNGUR originally designated a rose-bush, but now it is used for the RUBUS genus in the ROSACEAE family. Still the feminine derivation KLYNGRA is still unoccupied and can still be used for ROSE. I have written an article on my blogg-site: http://loanwordterminator.blogspot.com 81.165.208.149 26. apríl 2006 kl. 14:45 (UTC)
