• Currently we are accepting interwiki bots that use interwiki.py. If you intend to run a bot that uses a program other than interwiki.py then bot status must already be granted in the English Wikipedia; please do not apply for any tasks beside interwiki.py if you don't already have bot status there.
• Running a bot without having a bot page (userpage) and a link to your talk page ready will result in blocking your bot.
• Please add your bot name to your user-config.py, then make a few sample runs so others in the Arabic Wikipedia can comment. Keep in mind that the only program allowed is interwiki.py, and make sure that the runs are at least 10 minutes apart.
• A request should be added at the bot request page, where a vote/approval would take place. Special conditions could be requested for certain bot actions.
• The request can be submitted in a different form, but should contain the following data:

* Botmaster (link to user page, may be on another wiki):
* Bot's name (link to bot user page):
* List of bot flags on other Wikipedias:
* Purpose:
* Technical details (optional):

• Make sure that the first interwiki you do is your userpage and your bot userpage. If you fail to do so, your bot might be blocked.
• Categorize your bot's user page by adding this code:

• When naming your bot, please make sure that a person can immediately determine that it is a bot. Suffixes like: Bot, BOT, Robot are preferred.
