- Amharic wikipedia has a special checkbox in their edit bar. Talk to the user Tatari. It is Tatari who enabled the direct script possible through a .css . - regarding wikitionary
There is no sysop or admin on wikitionary marathiso there is no way to install davanagari script on it. May be you should ask to be one on meta in order to intall it. tatari

If you are not an admin, but would like to install this on marathi wikipedia or marathi wiktionary, follow this procedure -
- Create your own monobook.js as User/monobook.js. For me, it would be User:अभय नातू/monobook.js For you, it will be User:mahitgar/monobook.js
- Copy http://mr.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Monobook.js to the new page
- Add the section as give by Tatari to the newly created page.
- Hit Ctrl-F5 or Ctrl-Refresh
- You're in business :-)

- To start with I think we can just copy allmessages.php file from marathi wikipedia to marathi wiktionary that will give you the same translations that are on Marathi wikipedia instantly on wiktionary. --- कोल्हापुरी 04:33, 21 डिसेंबर 2006 (UTC)
- I originally thought that one can do it in one go by using php file. But it seems that there is no easy way to edit the php file. - SO you may have to do it one by one. It is a very good idea that you have initiated as regards barnstar. I have changed the word Indian to Indospheric to make it diplomatically more feasible for Romani, Singhala, Nepal Bhasa and Nepali (most probably even Urdu and Sindhi), all of which have significant number of users outside the political India but are "Indospheric" in nature. In hindi wikipedia, devnagari namespaces were there when I started using it. Never tried to add new ones, so do not know how to add them. I tried to look around for same but could not find how to do it. If I get to know will let you know for sure.

- Ok. I generally dont edit the dinvishesh on mukhprushtha. Hence i am not much worried about it. But the other components of mukhprusdhta (DYK? for example) should be available for editing). Of course some differences arise,but i make sure to discuss it on chwdi before editing. Morever I like to experiment many times i save my changes. - i respect ur views. I agree that dinvishesh should be protected. But cannot about other components. Firstly its too hard for an novice/vandal to go deep down the layers (DYK has 2 layers) and secondly we all do not add info without validity or watching the preview. I do understand ur views,but the correct measure will be semi-protection so that anons/vandal cant edit it. - I am sorry i didnt understand the jargons! I too know just some basic HTML. The problem is that on my PC that has resolution 800x600, and it renders Marathi wikipedia very badly like this. But Marathi wikctionary, Bengali/Teulu/Kannada/French wikipedias just look fine. Obviously Marathi wikipedia needs to be fortified for v800x600 iewers like me who are subject to ugly interface of wikipedia.For that Atul wanted to know some CSS data. I intend to take on admin role at Wiktionary/Wikibooks/other Marathi Wikimedia websites because I am sure I can put in technical contribution more than writing content. But currently I am very busy shifting to a new job and a new city. I will also be on vacation for two weeks. Only after a month or so I see myself finding time (and uninterrupted Internet connectivity) for Wiki things.

Its good that you are trying to maintain grammar from beforehand. I have no specific plans to lanuch the bot directly to Marathi. I intend to first present the data being used to the local community and to use bot ater the community grants its consent. Otherwise, it wont be possible for me to even differentiate between the use of two "la" that are present in Marathi or construct basic sentences that I intend to put in the stub. Anyway, I might run the bot after a month or so (as I need to complete the bot operation in Nepal Bhasa first). - Thanks a zillion for the compliment and consent. Abt the bot, its a bit strange that I want to operate it. Actually I am not a technical person. On Dashami holiday 2 yrs back, I searched for a term in google and found wikipedia. One thing led to another and now I am trying to run bot in all Devnagari wikipediae and trying to write php commands for Kashmiri and Romani. Sounds strange! Anyway, I think the languages of South Asia are less represented in wikipedia and would like to do something for all of these languages. Bot is just a part of the tools to use for a better representation and co-ordination of these wikipediae (but like you mentioned, it really took me a long time to understand the bot function). I am glad that we have people like you who are more concerned (and better knowledged) with language here who can guide us with the languages. Net is the new frontier and we need to establish all the languages in their best possible form here to ensure a well knowledged, culturally sound and ethically oriented new world. Greetings Mahitgar!
I sincerely give my apologies if I have offended you in any way through the use of this phrase: "you are probably not a Christian". I used it because according to this website, only 1.12% (885,030 people) of Maharashtra's population is Christian. In other words, out of 100 Wikipedia users of Marathi Wikipedia, only 1 or 2 people are probably likely to be Christian.
Nevertheless I will stop using that phrase and assume that non-Christian Marathi speakers would also be willing and able to help me.
(In fact, I have been helped by Hindus, Atheists, Buddhists and even Muslims.)

- Found it. The difference between the two (here and wiktionary) is that your template (साचा:नाव) on wikipedia has a whole bunch of comments and other wiki-code in it.
- That is interfering with the table rendering.

I was referring to many people working on a same article/project simaltaneously.I think it is really fun working collaboratively. Peer reviews are useful indeed as they help improving the article and related discussions are started off as well.I dont know about others but I tend to edit articles of subjects which is close to my heart or which i find intresting. [संपादन] ऋतु/ ऋतू
माहितगार, मूळ संस्कृतात 'ऋतु' असे र्‍हस्व उकारान्त लेखन केले जाते. परंतु हा शब्द मराठीतील तत्सम शब्दप्रकारातील इतर बर्‍याचशा संस्कृत शब्दांप्रमाणे दोन पद्धतीने लिहिला जातो: १. मूळ संस्कृत शब्दाप्रमाणे - 'ऋतु' असा. २. मराठीच्या मूळ प्रकृतीनुसार अंत्य र्‍हस्व इकार/उकार यांचे दीर्घ उच्चार केले जात असल्याने 'ऋतू' असा.
संस्कृतातील तत्सम शब्दांबाबत या दोन्ही पद्धती मराठी शुद्धलेखन नियमांप्रमाणे योग्य आहेत. फक्त 'ऋतु' शब्दापासून इतर काही सामासिक शब्द बनवताना मात्र त्यातील 'तु' चे लेखन मूळ संस्कृत शब्दानुसार र्‍हस्वच केले जाते. उदा. 'ऋतुजन्य', 'ऋतुप्राप्ति/ ऋतुप्राप्ती' वगैरे.
या संदर्भातील नियम 'महाराष्ट्र साहित्य संस्कृती मंडळ'प्रकाशित आणि यास्मिन शेख यांनी लिहिलेल्या 'मराठी लेखन मार्गदर्शिका' पुस्तकात दिले आहेत.
