The TARDIS, a time-travelling machine disguised as a police box, as seen in the popular British science-fiction television series Doctor Who. This particular example is a fan-built replica. Taken by Paul Hayes in July 1999, and later scanned in and uploaded to Wikimedia by same.

This particular box is an old series Season 18 version replica, known as the Yardley-Jones Box by fans. It was used from the Fourth Doctor's Season 18 through to the last season, number 26 with the Seventh Doctor.
