Das heutige Wappen der Gemeinde Gaißach gibt es seit 1959. Das Wappen wurde vom Tölzer Architekten Ernst Rössner entworfen. Das Wappen hat die Form eines Schildes. Es zeigt auf grünem Grund einen schrägen silbernen (weißen) Wellenbalken, darauf quer gelegt ein goldenes (gelbes) Flammenschwert. Der grüne Grund stellt die Wald- und Wiesenlandschaft von Gaißach dar. Der Wellenbalken weist auf den Bachlauf der "Gaißach" hin, nach dem die Gemeinde benannt ist. Das Flammenschwert ist symbolisches Merkmal des Heiligen Michael, der Schutzpatron der Pfarrkirche und Pfarrgemeinde Gaißach ist.
