HIM (iniciais para His Infernal Majesty) é uma banda finlandesa de gothic rock formada em 1991 por Ville Valo, Migé Amour e Mikko Viljami Lindström. O HIM começou fazendo covers de bandas como Type O Negative, KISS, Black Sabbath, Danzig e Depeche Mode. Foi só em 1995 que o conjunto começou a se desenvolver da forma como o conhecemos hoje, isto é, um estilo que mistura gothic metal, gothic rock e um pouco de pop rock, cujos temas recorrentes são a morte, o amor e o romance. O HIM fez escola com esta sonoridade, a qual denominou Love Metal. Este foi o título, inclusive, de um dos CDs que a banda lançou.

O Heartagram é a mistura do coração e um pentagrama, não há uma tradução para o português. Heartagram significa "forma extrema e intensa" que é o tema da maioria das músicas da banda, além de ser seu símbolo.
