O Ursinho Puff (Winnie the Pooh), cujos direitos pertencem à Disney, nasceu da imaginação do escritor Alan Alexander Milne, depois de uma visita que ele fez com seu filho de quatro anos, Christopher, ao jardim zoológico de Londres.
O personagem foi responsável pela criação de inúmeras continuações do filme, programas televisivos, roupas, livros e brinquedos.
O filme também inspirou a criação de uma atração com o mesmo nome na Disneylândia, no Walt Disney World e na Disneylândia de Hong Kong.
