Antimony

Antimony is a chemical element. It has the chemical symbol Sb. The symbol Sb is from the Latin name for the element of 'stibium.' The meaningo of stibium is "mark." It has the atomic number 51. It is a metalloid. Antimony has four allotropes. The stable allotrope of antimony is a blue-white metal. Yellow and black antimony are unstable non-metals.
Antimony is used in flame-proofing, paints, ceramics, enamels, many different alloys, electronics and rubber.
