The word date can mean a few things:
- A date is a day on a calendar. It is now 04:38 (UTC) Tuesday, April 17, 2007. That means that today's date is April 17, 2007.
- A date is the fruit of the date palm.
- When people talk about a date, they can also mean that they are meeting with another person. That person might be their boyfriend or girlfriend. People might go out with their partner to have a meal, or they might go to entertain themselves.
