Francis II of France

Francis II of France (January 19, 1544 – December 5, 1560) was a King of France and a member of the Valois Dynasty.

Francis was born in Fontainbleau, France, on September 12, 1494. His parents were Henry II of France and Catherine of Medici.

Francis was married to Mary I of Scotland on April 24, 1558. They had no children.

Francis died in Orleans, France, on December 5, 1560 because of an ear infection. He is burried in the Saint Denis Basilica. The next King was Charles IX of France.
