Nelson Rockefeller

Nelson Aldrich Rockefeller (July 8, 1908 – January 26, 1979) was an American politician and businessman. He was from one of the richest and powerful families in the United States, The Rockefellers. He was Governor of New York from 1959 to 1973. He tried many times to become President of the United States. The closest he came to being President was being chosen as Vice-President in 1974 under Gerald Ford.
