[edit] Spellchecker?
Looking at this edit, do you have some sort of automated spellchecker? It's replaced all instances of "Blockinblox" with "Blackbox" and "Siliconov" with "Silicone". Archer7 - talk 23:04, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hey!
Hey PTO! I knew I remembered you from en.wiki. Heh, nice to see an active admin helping the Simple English project. I just joined a few days ago, and I really enjoy my time here fixing up and writing articles. =) Nishkid64 02:58, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!

Hello, PullToOpen; just a little friendly message, to a fellow simple.wikipedian. I hope you enjoy simple as much as I do! I can be found at my talk page most of the time - come and visit me!
See you around!

[edit] Question,
How do you get badges on your page? — This unsigned comment was added by Michael223 (talk • contribs) .
- Oh, the barnstars? Some nice users gave them to me. Barnstars have to be given, though. You can't give them to yourself. :). Cheers, PullToOpenTalk 02:35, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
no, like, anti vandelism squad...
- I'm not sure what you're talking about. I don't have any anti-vandalism squad badges on my userpage. PullToOpenTalk 02:39, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
lol, nevermind
Wait, how do you revert?
- Help:Revert explains it in detail. PullToOpenTalk 02:52, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] vandals
Omg,
Thanks,
I was reverting back and forth till you showed up
- No problem. I check here every so often to make sure that there aren't any vandals running rampant. Also, don't forget to sign your posts on talk pages. Cheers, PullToOpenTalk 03:15, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Uhh.
How do u put the wikipedia defcon on your page?
[edit] McA
One thing was bothering me about that, there were no account creation messages for him creating which should have been blocked by the first block. I checked and found he created all the accounts this morning and they never got blocked when he created them. He wouldnt need help to get back on if he still had an account that wasnt blocked. I double checked and all the accounts he created this morning have been blocked now. -- Creol(talk) 22:10, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ouch. I'm fairly sure it's not related to that comment, but it's possible. Now they're actually vandalising, it may be worth a CheckUser if it carries on for another few weeks. Archer7 - talk 23:26, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- It's really sickening. Oh well, I got those silly messages too, and a "fan" of mine.-- Tdxiang 10:22, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Arabic?
Hello, PullToOpen. On User talk:ﺉﯓﯝﮩﮦﯽ you wrote in Arabic. Do you know Arabic? Was the message telling this user to stop? Whatever it is, I blocked him. :) Thank you anyway.-- Tdxiang 10:27, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I don't know Arabic. However, I am fluent in Babelfish :). Anyway, my first message (الرجاء الكتابة باللغه الانكليزيه) means "Please write in English" and my second message (توقف) means "Stop". You sent me a message on IRC that I can't respond to now, so I'll respond here: I have no relationship to S*** McA. The same first name is purely a coincidence. Cheers, PullToOpenTalk 21:08, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] question (again)
how do you use the defcon?
like raise or lower levels?— This unsigned comment was added by Michael223 (talk • contribs) .
- To change the defcon level, you can go to the specific subpage (User:PullToOpen/WDefcon) and change the image. The image names are easy to guess (Image:Dc_four = Defcon 4, Dc_one = Defcon 1 etc.), so you can just change the wording slightly to get a new image. You can also leave a small caption if you want to. There aren't a whole lot of people who use this, though. Also, don't forget to sign your posts on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). [edit] thanks for the welcome
Hi there, thanks for the welcome. Your name sounds awfully familiar... aren't you on en.wiki too? In case you don't know, I'm Kyoko, also known as Tachikoma on en.wiki. I thought it was easier to just stick with the account rather than try to move it.
I thought I would give simple.wiki a try, because there's so much that still has to be done here. It's a challenge, trying to write in short, simple sentences. I wrote the [first version of the lung transplant article on English Wikipedia, and it will take a lot of work to transfer it here.
I hope to add to a whole lot of topics in the future. Thanks again! --Kyoko 00:48, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. Yes, I am somewhat active on en.wikipedia as well. I appreciate your help in bringing this project to another level. Cheers, PTO 01:43, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Please help me move a page
Hi there, I would like to move High Blood Pressure to High blood pressure, so that the title matches the recommended style for Wikipedia articles. I thought this would be better to do now, while there are still so few articles that link to the page, making it easier to fix any links. I tried to move the page myself, but the system wouldn't let me. Could you please help? Thanks. --Kyoko 13:16, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- I got this one... Blockinblox - talk 14:11, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deleted revision
Actually it wasnt a porn link. It was a link to a page with the members of a wedding party. The image they refered to was of a certain Kate McAuliffe. -- Creol(talk) 03:33, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, oh well. Better safe than sorry. PTO 03:42, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Short article category
I'm not doubting the accuracy of you statement that it has been debated many times, but I would like to review the discussion. Can you please tell me where this has been discussed? --Selket 23:53, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- The main discussion was in August of 2005 at Simple Talk. It is located here. This discussion was heavily fragmented, but it was eventually decided that there would be no stub category. Cheers, PTO 00:12, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Selective restoration
Thanks for that, although it did confuse me for a bit at first when I looked up and saw my talk page link was red. First thought was "Oh my god, rogue admin!", and I rushed to recent changes to block whoever it was. Thanks! Archer7 - talk 23:00, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Andy Tanas copyright issue
For future reference, I am Andy Tanas. I set up the page and inserted the bio from my own website www.andytanas.com. I am the author and give my sole permission to use this text. I appreciate those who are looking out for me. Any further issues, concerns or problems please let me know. All the best, Andy Tanas Bartlett, TN

[edit] Thanks
Thanks for lowering that anon's block to one month. I have got so accustomed to blocking the troll user names as quickly as possible, that I did it without thinking. Glad you caught that. Blockinblox - talk 15:19, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. Cheers, PTO 20:36, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My sister
My evil sister probably left you a note, saying that I like this girl named Emily. My sister is trying to spread this information to the whole world, now that she found out the name of this girl. Is there any way to prevent my sister from doing this? The story is that I caught my sister editing your talk page then told me to go away then chased me out, making vomit sounds to prevent me from stopping her from sharing my "secret".
- This message was from me. Could you please block 67.81.102.22 (talk • contribs • page moves • block user • block log) (my IP address) to prevent my sister from spreading these words that I like Emily Roberts? I left a similar message on Wikipedia_talk:Vandalism_in_progress. Han Amos 20:40, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I won't block the IP address (we strictly adhere to our Blocking policy), so I can't do anything about it. I suggest talking to her about it, although that's probably easier said than done. There's nothing wrong with being attracted to a girl, you know :). PTO 20:56, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] PTO
It stands for PullToOpen or it stands for Parent and Teacher Organization. PTA stands for Parent and Teacher Association. PullToOpen means pulling information out of drawers to share with parents and teachers and students or any other wikipedians on the Internet. Please be warned. This is original research. This may not be true.Coffsneeze 02:48, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Why are you telling me this? PTO 15:53, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- There is a connection between the two PTO. One stands for the Parent and Teacher Organization. The other stands for PullToOpen, who pulls information out of drawers or resources to share with parents and teachers and students or other wikipedians on the Internet. Please be warned. This is original research. This may not be true. Coffsneeze 16:47, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sysop
May I be a sysop? Arial 15:24, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
- As of now, no. This was your first edit. However, if you prove yourself to be competent and dedicated to the project, you may be able to become a sysop some time in the future. PTO 20:54, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
