I thought that the mathematical term for a set that could contain multiple instances of an item was a bag, not a list. This also makes the recurring example somewhat confusing. — This unsigned comment was added by User:87.113.1.89 (talk • contribs) .
- That is indeed true. I fixed the first reference. A List as stated is an ordered data structure. It is like a set, except that there is also an order relation. This makes it possible to say that a certain element comes before another one. --Eptalon 22:01, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
