Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was an album released by The Beatles. It was the 9th Beatles album to be released in Britain. It was released on June 1st, 1967, and stayed at the top of the charts for twenty-seven weeks. It has a number of popular tracks such as McCartney's "When I'm Sixty-Four" and the Lennon/McCartney collaboration "A Day in the Life." For a while before this album came out, the Beatles had been trying new things when they made records, but this album made a much bigger change in the way they sounded. The album was designed to be recorded in a studio and most of the songs cannot be played live.
