Squid
From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The squid is an animal that lives in the water, like fish. All squids live in the ocean. Squids can breathe underwater and many people eat them for food. There are many different kinds of squids; some are very big like the giant squid and some are very small, but all squids have tentacles. Tentacles are like legs that the squid uses to grab food. The tentacles bring food to the mouth of the squid. All squids are carnivores; they eat other animals, not plants.
Unlike most fish, squids do not have bones. This type of animal is called an invertebrate.
