Unknown Warrior

The Unknown Warrior is a tomb of an unknown British soldier who was killed on the battlefield during World War I.

The unknown warrior was buried in Westminster Abbey on November 11, 1920. The tomb is covered by a slab of black Belgian marble and is the only tomb in Westminster Abbey that people are not allowed to walk on.
It has a transcription on it that is written by Herbert Ryle, Dean of Westminster.

The unknown warrior was given the Medal of Honor on October 17, 1921. This hangs on a piller near where he is buried.
