¡Mayday! is a hip hop group. Made up of Lyricist Bernbiz, and keyboardist Plex (aka Aaron Eckhart), they are from Miami, Florida. Known for there miami-underground hit 'Quicksand', which landed them a deal with SouthBeat Records, and there first single & Music Video Groundhog Day featuring Cee-Lo Green (directed By JOKES) which received over 2 million views on the online video site YouTube within only a day of being added.
Groundhog Day was also known for its new style of marketing. Conducted by record company SouthBeat Records, a number of links on adult websites that SouthBeat was affiliated with led to increased interest over-night and exposure to international listeners.
Groundhog Day can be found on the compilation album URBAN EXPRESS 673Y and on the self-titled, debut album from Mayday.
