Once again I have deleted all information pertaining to any 14th U.S. Infantry Regiment in existence prior to 1861. The current/modern 14th U.S. Infantry Regiment which this article is about is different. Anyone wishing to post information on that regiment should create a new article because even though they are the same number they are not the same thing.Silver31u 15:16, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Use of buzzwords reflecting a U.S.-only point of view such as Global War on Terrorism, Operation Iraqi Freedom, etc are absolutely UNACCEPTABLE in an encyclopedic context unless they are accompanied by an alternate point of view.

I am removing this page from the USA-Centric category. I feel that while that category is important, it ought to contain articles that require a worldwide perspective, and that this article specifically concerns American history and the American military by subject. -24.158.102.148 19:29, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
