1958 College World Series

The 1958 NCAA Men's Division I College World Series (CWS) involved 8 schools playing in double-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college baseball. It began on June 13, and ended with the championship game on June 19. A total of 15 games were played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska.
The tournament field consisted of 27 teams, 13 automatic berths and 14 at-large selections. The 27 teams competed in 8 districts, each sending their winner to the CWS.
The University of Southern California won the national championship with an 8-7 victory over the University of Missouri in 12 innings in front of 3,021 fans.
