1982 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament

The 1982 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament was the first NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament ever held. It featured 32 teams. Tennessee, Louisiana Tech, Cheney, and Maryland were the Final Four, with Louisiana Tech defeating Cheney for the title, 76-62.[1] Louisiana Tech's Janice Lawrence was named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.
