[edit] Population magnitudes
Please tell me I have missed them - surely there are a set of Order of Magnitude articles for Population?
The Wiki method for area is far better than the CIA World Fact Book. The latter tells me that Jamaica is "slightly smaller than Connecticut" but if I have no concept of the size of Connecticut it ain't much help. The Wiki method gives me a list, some items of which I might recognise.
- Oh, but that's easy. Connecticut's slightly larger than Jamaica ;)
Wiki can further improve on the CIA by doing the same for population. (And pre-empting what the response will be - sorry I don't want to create them.)

I now realise that there are more 1 Ex articles than I thought but:
- not all are in Category:Orders of magnitude (numbers)
- some are redirects, eg. 1 E6
- there is scope for a separate set for population. If I am looking to compare Croydon with other cities using 1 E5, I am not interested in the number of words in James Joyce's Ulysses
