[edit] Vandalism
With reference to the Mariah Carey albums discography, please do not delete article content, as it is considered vandalsim. If you continue to vandalise pages, you may be blocked from editing for a period of time. Thank you. Journalist 19:48, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Mariah Carey discography
Is there a reason why you continue to change the figures in the Mariah Carey discography section? You have been changing it quite frequently. If you are doing it to compromise the credibility of the encyclopedia, please stop; it considered vandalism. If you are doing it simply because you just dont feel that Carey has sold that much, but you have no sources to back you up, please stop; the editors have done research and references are provided at the bottom of the page. However, if you are doing it in good faith, then adhering to the "Cite Source" protocol, you need to provide valid references for the figures that you continue to put. Thank you Journalist 18:57, 6 August 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has now been removed. Please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for any other tests you want to do, since testing in articles will be reverted quickly. Please see the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. smoddy 12:04, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Please do not add commercial links (or links to your own private websites) to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia as we drive for print or DVD publication; see the welcome page to learn more. Thanks. -- July 2, 2005 14:24 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome
Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.
Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and write articles, however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 202.156.2.91). Logging in does not require any personal details. There are many other benefits for logging in to Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can type {{helpme}} on this page and an experienced Wikipedian will be around to answer any questions you may have.
Please note these points:
- Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
- Please use a neutral point of view to edit the article; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do that.
- Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted texts, advertisement messages, and texts that are not related to that article. Both adding such unreasonable information and editing articles maliciously are considered vandalism. A user who repeatedly vandalises articles will be blocked from editing.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, ask me on my Talk page – I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia.

[edit] Please stop vandalizing articles!
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Musicpvm 00:06, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
At least one genuine editor is under this IP. I urge him (them) to obtain username not to be mistaken with some vandal also having this IP. Thanks. Pavel Vozenilek 04:03, 20 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summary
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.
