[edit] Introduction to me
Hello. I am numerous user numbers beginning with 216.19.218. I just started playing here about a week ago. My computer is screwed up and will not allow me to allow cookies, which i don't like to do anyway, so i haven't registered. I haven't decided whether or how to identify myself, but it seems to me that it hardly matters, considering that many registered users are under aliases which no more identify them than do my-special-set-of-default-numbers me. If you care about whatever i do, it shouldn't take you long to learn to recognize these numbers. It's easy. Start with 216. That's 216. See ? There's a similar number in there, too: 218. Again: 218. If you see these two numbers, it's probably me. If you see a 19 in between, it's getting pretty certain. The last number changes all the time. I really don't know why, as i have resisted this degree of computer literacy for a long time. Perhaps someone could explain it to me. I will list some of these numbers below so that you may find my scattered pieces. Then i will tell you what i'm up to here.

I will add more as they come to my attention.
So, i'm just poking around, editing here and there. I am particularly working on articles about dictionaries, a special interest of mine. I'm just adding a bit at a time as i get around to it. I aim to document many dictionaries not yet covered, and fill out existing articles and stubs. Let me know if you have questions or comments, or if you have special interest and/or knowledge on the subject. Some of my edits are at the following:
Dictionary Webster's Dictionary Merriam Webster Century Dictionary Oxford English Dictionary Encarta Webster's Dictionary Imperial Dictionary
[edit] Greetings and Salutations
Salve, Newbie! Welcome aboard. You left a message on my talk page regarding editing dictionary articles and I see you worked on Webster's Dictionary and Merriam-Webster. Could you give me an example of an article you think needs rewritten from scratch? I'd be in a better position to offer advice if I could see something you think needs work. Please let me know.
What follows is our generic welcome message:

[edit] A Suggestion
Salve, 216!
If I might make a suggestion for your pages. The header material you have is better suited for a user page. Even without an account you can post stuff on a user page. Just go to User:216.19.218.67 and put it up. As for your other aliases, what you could do is settle on one number to be your primary page and then put redirects up on all the others. If you don't know how to do redirects, I'll show you. Ave! PedanticallySpeaking 16:30, Feb 24, 2005 (UTC) P.S.: Good work you're doing in the lexicography articles.
