2ST
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
2ST started out as an AM radio station serving the Shoalhaven and Southern Tablelands regions of New South Wales in Australia, broadcasting on the frequency 999 kHz. The "ST" suffix denotes the "South coast and Tablelands" area that is the station's coverage area. The station first began broadcasting in 1972
Over the years 2ST has improved the quality of broadcasts in its coverage area with repeater services in the Southern Tablelands, and in the coastal and southern Shoalhaven regions.
In the late 1980s station management created the FM station Power FM 94.9, which broadcasts from the same premises in North Nowra. Several announcers have moved back and forth between the two sister stations.
