.416 Weatherby Magnum
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The .416 Weatherby Magnum, introduced in 1989, is a very powerful rifle cartridge. It is able to push a 400 grain (26 g) bullet close to 2700 ft/s (820 m/s). The cartridge also fires the bullet faster than the .416 Remington Magnum, and faster than the .416 Rigby by 300 ft/s (90 m/s) with the same bullet weight. Recoil on this caliber, as expected, is only manageable by the most experienced shooters.
