From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 324th Rifle Division was a Soviet infantry division of the Red Army during World War II. On 6.04.1945 it was part of the 69th Rifle Corps of the 50th Army. Feskov et al lists it as part of the shortlived Gorki Military District in 1945-6, where it was probably disbanded.
[edit] Combat history
On 6 April 1945 the 324th Rifle Division was one of the divisions in the encirclement around Königsberg, located at the northwest sector. The division to the right was the 110th Rifle Division, and to the left is unknown. They attacked German positions and broke through the second defense line.
