45 Cavalry

The Indian Army's 45th Cavalry Regiment has the:
- Battle honour - Darsana, 1971 Indo-pak war [East Pakistan, now Bangladesh]
- Battle cry Veer Bhogya Vasundhara[The Earth is for the brave]
The Regiment has also fought in the Battles of Garibpur, Kushtia, Jessore. The regiment was equipped with amphibious light battle tanks, the Russian PT 76. At the moment the "Paintalis Risala" has T-55 tanks. These tanks are amphibious. It is currently stationed in Pathankot (Mamoon Cantt).
