User talk:68.101.64.76

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Regarding user DeLarge and his bogus claims:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Saeedc

Copied from Saeedc's talk page (link above):

[edit] Response to violation of Wikipedia user DeLarge

The user known as "DeLarge" has taken it apon himself to publicly list my personal information on Wikipedia without my authorization or prior approval. After several requests he simply disregards me and refuses to remove my personal information. In return, I am also listing his information as well and I will only remove it when he removes mine:

DeLarge's Information:

Name: Graeme Delargy

Email: gdelargy@googlemail.com

IP Address: 62.252.128.* (Europe/UK/Scotland)

Resides: Scotland

Personal Web Site URL: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/graeme.delargy/

Interests: He is involved and practically obsessed with the SETI Project in attempt to search for alien life. He also enjoys playing Chess, but unfortunately, he is not known for being very good at it.

Mr. Delargy is known by many Wikipedia users as being "arrogant" and a "trouble-maker" which can be verified by viewing the ongoing disputes that he carries out on various Wikipedia articles.

If you have any additional information you would like to add to this page regarding Mr. Delargy, please feel free to do so.

Here is a copy of the FULL conversation carried on by Mr. Delargy and myself via email, which he neglects to display on his personal talk page (read from bottom to top):

Subject: Re: Wikipedia linkspamming by 68.101.64.76
From: "Graeme Delargy" <gdelargy@googlemail.com>

Priority: Normal

On the primary issue of User:68.101.64.76 - obviously, I never expected you to "side with me". However, I did expect Wikipedia administration to, since I was merely enforcing their policies and guidelines. And since 68.101.64.76was suspended for "vandalism" for 24 hours earlier today, I consider my conduct to have been endorsed as acceptable - at least by those whose opinions are relevant in this matter..

"I do not appreciate you creating an account on the <masked>.com site and spying on us to gather information to use against the site and one of it's members. But, because you have done this, I have obtained your IP address and have logged every page you have accessed."

I haven't created an account at FEC.com - as far as I can tell, I don't need to. The forums were not public when I first visited the site (prior to 25 May, 2.56am EDT), but they were subsequently made accessible on 27 May, 3.04pm EDT, by the looks of your post:
http://<masked>.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=13 The only information I was interested in was your membership numbers, which are freely accessible to all site visitors. Traffic info was gained from a third party (alexa.com).

However, as owner/administrator, you are of course free to delete the account which you think is mine; I shall monitor your site to see if its membership drops back from 68 to 67.

"You have released my personal information on another site without my permission or knowledge. So now, I present you with one option before I pursue this further: you have 24 hours to remove all of my personal information from Wikipedia.com."

On your own forum profile: http://<masked>.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=profile&mode=viewprofile&u=2 you have already made the information freely available. Therefore, I have simply reproduced information already in the public domain - for this I do not need permission.

On an unrelated note, you have mis-spelled the name of the "Announcements" sub-forum on your site.

Regards, DeLarge
