i hardly think that posting a link to a tenant's resource page is "personnal" or is a link offering a service. in fact, neither is true. half of the links in wikipedia point to websites offering services (i.e. Kingston Transit, Utilities Kingston, etc.)
considering that wikipedia is supposed to be a place where knowledge is shared i would have to say that a link to a website informing tenants of their rights and responsibilities is entirely acceptable.
if you really have a problem try creating an account so that we can have a serious dialog.
thanks. ewen

please learn to spell.
also, adding a link to the golden cockroach awards is hardly a 'spam' link. i have zero affiliation with that organization other than the fact that i was previously a student at queen's. the article is about the queen's ghetto and one of the problems with the ghetto is bad landlords, hence the link.
also, a page dedicated to tenant information is hardly spam. it is not a personal (note that personal only has one 'n') page, nor a page offering services and certainly provides useful information to students, especially those reading the ghetto page.
but seeing as how you have nothing better to do than chase me around deleting what i think to be relevant links i'll wait until you get a life to make future edits.

[edit] finally, an end in sight
a couple of things:
1. the link i posted to the tenant's resource page was to help inform tenants. i figured this was appropriate. the fact that the same website also offers services i didn't think was an issue, especially after reviewing numerous other links to all kinds of websites that offer services. however i can appreciate why it may not be relevant or is not suitable for linking. i still believe it is relevant.
2. the link to the golden cockroach award is well in line with the article and the fact that there are a lot of slumlords in kingston, especially in the student ghetto. this 'award' was covered by local media and is endorsed by the AMS. it is far from slanderous. it's a little humourous and brings the issue of property standards, etc. to the forefront. this link is definitely suitable for the webpage and should remain. you'd probably appreciate it more if you had gone to queen's and had lived in the ghetto.
all that aside, it has nothing to do with appreciating the rules or being here for a long time. i am not a newbie although you seem to think so. the links i posted are, i believe, acceptable under the so called rules and it is unfortunate that you seem to think otherwise. i suppose time will tell.
all that said, let's just move on. i doubt the admins really want to deal with this non-sense about the lowly ghetto. Emackinnon 23:37, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
