[edit] Traditional Chinese medicine
Please do not put the traditional Chinese medicine information into the taxoboxes, this is for phylogenetic taxonomic information only. Medicinal taxonomies should be treated in their own section within the text of the article. Please reference, also. The information will be useful and is appropriate for Wikipedia, however. It just doen't belong in the taxoboxes as they are currently designed only for phylogenetic taxonomic classifications. KP Botany 04:40, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- A guide to Chinese medicinal plants might be a bit difficult to fit into the Wikipedia environment due to the complex systems involved. You might want to consider doing this on Wikibooks or Wikiversity, where a more organized discussion can be made. --SB_Johnny|talk|books 11:31, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

- I don't think it has to be a guide to Chinese medicinal plants any more than mentioning the Linnaean taxonomy of a plant requires fitting in a guide to Linnaean taxonomy, or an article on aspirin has to be a guide to Western medicine. This is information that can be included in articles, with references, and an article written about Chinese medicinal plants. But I'm not going to do it, so it may not matter.
