As a start, here's a welcoming message and some indication on how to use wiki:
Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.
Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 82.79.158.166). Logging in does not require any personal details. There are many other benefits for logging in to Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can type {{helpme}} on this page and an experienced Wikipedian will be around to answer any questions you may have.
Please note these points:
- Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
- Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Both adding such unreasonable information and editing articles maliciously are considered vandalism.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, ask me on my Talk page – I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia.

[edit] Revert oradea
Why did you revert my Oradea contributions? It wasn not really fair. I only added in the Hungarian name for the place given that in Oradea Hungarian is a legal language and in the English version of wikipedia one can point to the existing names (legal, in use - what do you want more?) because the English language does not have an English name for the town. This is common practice in the case of other multilingual spaces as Belgium etc. I really hope that you did not do this just out of nationlist impulse. I am an Englishman spending some time in Oradea/Nagyvarad and I appreciate the way people here do not behave as some do in other places around on the nationality question. I also corrected some of the English errors - again I do not see why you reverted those. Please answer to me on your talk page since I do not know how things go around here and I do not even know whether I have one. Hope you enjoy Brittany. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.79.158.166 (talk • contribs).
- I wasn't at all nationalistic, in fact, my conviction is that on wikipedia we should point out the alternate names for different cities, especialy in Transylvania. But, these alterante names are not to be used every time a mention is made about that place. In the case of Oradea, you can see that at the beginning there are the romanian, the hungarian and the german names, but the article name is the official name of the city, and only one name should be used when reffering to the city, not a list of all the names. So it's either Oradea, either Nagyvarad. The same thing is about the rivers, which also have a number of names which are listed at the corresponding articles, but due to the fac that there is a city in Romania the romanian names should be used. So the reason why I reverted your contributions was the overuse of multiple names you have added. About the english errors, I am sorry, I'll se that they are recorected, the way you did. Hope to have been clear enough, if not, I'll be happy to answer any of your eventual questions. --Mihai -talk 16:50, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
