90 Minutes in Heaven
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
90 Minutes in Heaven: A True Story of Death and Life is a book written by Baptist minister Don Piper in collaboration with Cecil Murphey. It is narrated in first-person from Piper's point of view. Over one million copies have been sold. It has encouraged millions of hurting hearts who are either coping with the loss of a loved one or dealing with serious injury. On January 18, 1989, Don Piper was driving on an old bridge, and before he cleared that bridge, a semi crossed into his lane and hit his small red Ford Escort head on, and he was killed instantly in the impact. He immediately went to Heaven, and he saw, heard, and saw things that nobody has ever dreamed existed. An hour and a half after the accident, another minister came to the scene and prayed for Don. Don came back to life, faced a long, grueling recovery and now tells his story world wide.
"There are many things in the world that are a mystery, You just have to believe in them."
Author, speaker, actor, syndicated columnist, former CBS & CBN Television Network Executive, former Youth Minister, Education Minister, Senior Adult Minister, Baptist Student Ministry Director, Pastor, Single Adult Pastor, and Minister of Education, Don Piper is now often introduced as "The Minister of Hope".
