[edit] Verifiability
There is effectively no info about the AB on the internet, and most of this is common Lincoln lore. If you think something needs clarifying, I'll try to elaborate on it, but most of the info on the foodstuff is not written down. ZanderSchubert 01:01, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] St Mark's own the Red & White???
I'm a long-standing marksman, and I've never heard of St Mark's actually owning the Red and White. Although we have regularly claimed to "own" the place, this is based entirely on the fact that we patronise it regularly, not in any legal sense. Neither do I believe there is any "boycott" of the Red and White by other colleges. Aquinians, Lincolnians and Annsians can be seen eating there regularly in their club colours. Is anyone going to complain if I delete or change this claim? EDH 01:17, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Invention
I don't think it's possible to 'prove' that the AB was invented by Lincoln med students in 1988, or by anyone at any given time for that matter. Furthermore the 'record size' AB price should be updated with the current record, including both Home venues, ie the Red & White and the Blue & White. If any one has the current info on hand please update. Cheers and ABVS.
[edit] History of the AB!
I have made the effort to post this on the internet with the help of my son. Over twenty years ago I was one the university students who resided at Lincoln college. At times I had consumed what everyone calls the AB. As I remember the AB did not have a name then and was not even on the menu at the Red and White. We just asked for the yiros on chips meal. I think we paid a couple of dollars for it which was wrapped up like normal chips. I know the Blue and White didn't even know of the AB because when I asked for it they had no idea what it was. We didn't have any affiliations with a particular shop then.
- Hmm, interesting but we can't really add that because that would be original research. Do you know if the AB has ever been the subject of a newspaper article? If you've got some time you could ask the Messenger press or even the 'Tiser to do a piece about this emerging iconic adelaide food.--ABVS 23:04, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
