- Yea, it doesn't fit the criteria for notability. A vice-principal just isn't enough to be worthy of an article. For example, you wouldn't expect an entry about a vice-principal in any other encyclopedia, would you? Sorry, although it's really detailed, it just doesn't mean anything. Unfortunately I cannot change policies, as I am not an admin, and I do not have consensus. I am merely a user who feels that your page was not notable enough. Again, I must stress that I did not delete your article. I tagged it for deletion. And do please read the notability criteria for biographies here. The point is that you must reach consensus with other editors, or speak with an admin to settle this. Goh Zensen certainly does not fulfill the criteria for an article on Wikipedia. Unless you can prove that the page fulfills this criteria, or that you can change the policies by gaining consensus, you and your edits must abide by the rules which have been set. On a side note, please sign you name using the four tildes (~~~~) on talkpages (such as my own). Thanks, and I hope that I've been clear enough. P.S. Maybe I should talk about your points. You cannot expect Wikipedia to cover every minute detail in the world. While we seek to build a base of knowledge, I can't add an article about myself, can I? What have I contributed to society? Am I famous or well-known? Do I appear in news sources? Who knows me besides my friends and family? Wikipedia cannot add a page about anyone or anything. Just because another encyclopedia does not have it does not mean Wikipedia must have it. What I meant was that other encyclopedias follow similar rules as Wikipedia (which you should read before argueing out your case). There must be a 'cut-off point', and that already has been determined by Wikipedian policy, which was not drawn out by one person (certainly not me). If you want your article to be kept, please show it's notability immediately, and not give the excuse of not enough time. Besides, you can tag your article with a {{hangon}} and write your explanation as to why your article should be kept before it is deleted, although I know you are a relatively new user. This explanation will be considered by any of over 1000 admins, and they will then decide whether your article should stay or go. I would like to stress that I truly am sorry for all your efforts in writing that article to have gone to waste, but sometimes it's necessary, and I wasn't the one who deleted your article (see WP:SPEEDY). Hence I am not sorry for tagging it for deletion, but your efforts can be redirected to other areas. I must commend you for not losing your cool in this case and I hope that you understand where I'm coming from as well. Remember I was also a new user once. If you like, you may type out your article again such that it better fits Wikipedia's criteria and post it on an admin's talkpage, asking if it is indeed notable. - SpLoT / (talk) 13:59, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
