Action Kid (comic)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Action Kid was a superhero comic published in the early 1990s. It ran for about 24 issues before being cancelled due to lagging sales. However, a decade after its publication, critics of the comic genre agree it was one of the most profound and challenging super hero comic series of the 90s.
[edit] Main Characters
The main character in the comics is Action Kid, a teenager living with his divorced mom in an apartment. He gained his powers of increased agility, strength and intelligence by an accident that occurred during a field trip with his class. He acquired his sidekick, Zap, in the second issue of the series.
Zap, Action Kid's sidekick, is also a kid, and slightly younger than Action Kid. He has basically the same abilities as Action Kid to a lesser degree. He often filled the stereotypical role of the sidekick as being the kidnapee that the hero must save.
"RC" was a side-kick who appeared as Action Kid's sidekick in issues #20-24 of the series.
