[edit] Value Judgement
Before all you wiki busy bodies start targeting this page for demise you should think of the following information. Rowing is an amateur sport that, unlike football, does not have a ‘professional’ league. Instead individuals compete in the club's colours for positions in state and national squads. In this sense the Adelaide Uni Boat Club is very notable as it is home to many of the current state team youth and open age rowers (Youth Eight and Kings Cup Eight national championship teams). It is also the club for Olympic and world champions (Kate Slatter - Amber Halliday etc). This was the case for other University clubs that have been deleted. I feel you have presented a value judgement in their case that was ill informed. Not all top sporting clubs have to pay money to members for them to be notable. In this case the AUBC is one of the most notable clubs in Australia and the world. Ozdaren 22:39, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
