Adoos is an online social community, featuring free classified advertisements (including personals, jobs, housing, services, and community).
It was founded in 2004 by Julian Martinez in Spain under the name Habitamos.com. After phenomenal growth in 2005, Adoos expanded into eleven new countries at the end of 2005 (mainly in Latin America and Europe). Adoos has established itself in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Germany, France, Italy and the UK.
As of 2006, Adoos operates with a staff of 9 people. Its main revenue source is pay-per-click contextual advertising. This business model allows the company to offer the service free to both to web users as well as advertisers. Although the company does not disclose financial information, the company claims to be profitable with this free business model.
It serves over 10 million pages per month and the network of sites has 1 million unique visitors. It is one of the top classifieds resources in Spain and Latin America.
