From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Adrian Aymes (born June 4, 1964) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper. During his fifteen years in first-class cricket between 1987 and 2002 he played exclusively for Hampshire.
He attended Bellemoor School.
Having previously made Second XI Championship appearances since his debut in 1985 (playing most extensively between 1986 and 1990) he broke into first-class cricket with sporadic appearances from August 1990, including a match against a team of Sri Lankans during a Sri Lankan tour of England in 1990. He continued to play first-class cricket extensively for the next twelve years, sticking with his Hampshire teammates during 2001 despite their brief excursion into Division Two of the County Championship during 2001.
One year later, he retired from first-class cricket, as Hampshire finished seventh in the championship won that season by Surrey.
