I have added a few lines to summarise the Southeast Asian situation as I know it, focussing on Thailand and Malaysia. I would be pleased to know if there are any inaccuracies and for additional information to be provided.
The focus on US experience may discourage innovators in the East Asian region from implementing bilingual education, though in Thailand there is such high demand from parents supply cannot keep up and the danger is always that quality may suffer. -Adrianmjones44
