Adweek
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Adweek is a weekly American advertising trade publication.
First published in 1978, Adweek covers creativity, client/agency relationships, global advertising, accounts in review, and new campaigns. During this time, it has covered several notable shifts, including cable television, the shift away from commission-based agency fees, and the Internet. Its editor is Alison Fahey.
Adweek publishes fifty-one issues a year (skipping the last week of December). It also publishes a blog, Adfreak, which covers the intersection of advertising and pop culture. Adweek is currently owned by VNU, a Dutch publishing and research conglomerate controlled by a consortium of private-equity firms.
