Talk:Aerosmith's outtakes

[edit] Creation of Article
Hi, I'm aware there's the possibility that criticism may arise as a result of creating this article, or at least that it will be criticized for some of its content not being verifiable. I actually did not come up with the list. It was actually created by someone back in early 2006 (around March '06, I want to say) and included as a section on the main page Aerosmith on Wikipedia. Due to the large amount of info, it seemed to form the meat of the article and seemed to confuse people. There never really was a consensus on whether we should simply delete the section, or whether we should simply move it to its own article.
As a longtime, dedicated fan of the band, I realized that most of the songs in the Outtakes section were indeed true and many of them later surfaced as B-sides and bonus tracks and the like. I thought it would be good to have some sort of comprhensive list of the Outtakes available, especially as finding them all would be very hard for the average person to do. I really want to give credit to whoever created the list and compiled all the information, and I am sorry that the list was originally deleted. It did need work, but I don't think it needed to be deleted.
I simply rescued the information, and spent much time formatting it to a more visually-appealing and easier-to-use format, with bullets, quotation marks, fixing spelling/grammatical errors, creating wiki-links, and the like. Additionally, I also elaborated a little more on some of the sources of the outtakes, especially those already released to the public and found on an album.
I do realize that there is unverified information in this article, and some of the song titles may be of speculation/rumor. Many of these cases are already noted by phrases like "no evidence of existence". I do realize some work is needed, however I think as Aerosmith is a Top-Priority Musician Biography on Wikipedia and because of their strong musical and cultural influence, and the fact that many similar legendary recording artists on Wikipedia have similar sections and often times separate pages for every single song the artist ever recorded, that at least a comprehensive list of the band's outtakes is warranted, so people have a greater insight into the band, the stylings of their albums, and where many of their songs originated. -Abog 06:06, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Gonzaloc
Hi, i'm Gonzaloc, the creator of the list, and also have some more info in my web page. I'm very thank full that you took the time to edit and mke this article look better, and i think that its defnitly better for this to have its own page. Back in march i just added it to the Aerosmith article cause i didnt know who to make on of its own. THanks for the formating and all the corrections, i've now added some more new info and song titles. How ever i dont know how you found out about Get a Grip outtakes "Wham Bam" and "Trouble" were co-written by Richi Supa, is this true?
About some song titles, 90% exist for sure, just few are unconfirmed roumors.
Anyway, thanks very much my friend.
Gonzaloc!
