Agility CMS
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Agility CMS is one of the first content management systems that was built entirely with ASP.NET. Agility started as a project by three Web developers out of Toronto Canada in 2002. The goal of the project was to build a content management system that would not restrict the graphic layout or design requirements for a Web site.
From 2002 until present, Agility has expanded to include many of the features of other commercially available content management systems such as WYSIWYG editing, workflow, content scheduling, and version history.
Agility has a sophisticated application programming interface (API) which provides tools for developers to build sites quickly and integrate with other systems. While many other content management systems are expanding to include things like document management and email marketing capabilities, Agility has focused exclusively on specific Web content management features, search engine optimization and performance since it is easy to integrate it with other systems for other purposes.
