Agnotocastor is an extinct member of the mammalian family Castoridae.
Little has been revealed on this early relative of beavers, but it appears to be the oldest animal which can be referred to the family Castoridae, although the fossil does not reveal any further information on the ancestry of Castoridae (Emry, 1972).
